Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has become the preeminent early childhood book gifting program in the world. The program has been widely researched and results demonstrate the positive impact on early childhood development and literacy skills.

The Imagination Library provides one free book every month to children from birth to age five living in Dubois County. All parents have to do is apply and their eligible child will begin receiving a new book in the mail every month until they turn five.

There are no fees, the books are delivered directly to the child’s home, and the child gets to keep them forever.

The program requires funding that is shared by both state and local community partners. The Dubois County Community Foundation has committed to three years of funding to launch the program in Dubois County. Your gift will help with the continuance & longevity of the Imagination Library.
