Jasper Library

The Jasper Public Library first opened its doors on December 18th, 1934 in a little room in the rear of the City Office. During National Book Week, November 16th-22nd,1952,  the Library opened the doors of a new building on 1116 Main St. The library would grow & develop through the decades with renovations and updates in order to meet its patrons needs. The library then moved into the state-of-the-art Thyen-Clarke Cultural Center in the winter of 2020. The new Cultural Center serves as a cultural hub in Jasper, housing both Jasper Community Arts and the Jasper Public Library.

The Jasper Public Library prides itself on serving a diverse community and providing enrichment and learning opportunities for all ages. JPL strives to provide a variety of programming and services that meets the needs of our community.
