Donations being accepted for permanent StoryWalk

Ben Schitter, a life scout in Troop 185 in Jasper, has chosen the library to work with for his Eagle Scout Project.  This project will be to install a permanent StoryWalk around the new Jasper Public Library.

A StoryWalk is a series of stand-alone framed signs that each contain pages of a children’s picture book.  As a family walks to each of the 16 signs, they will read a complete book and get exercise too.  The book will be changed out every month.

His project will cost around $5,400 with any money collected over that going towards buying the books that go in the signs and also to help maintain the signs in the future.  He is currently collecting donations to fund this project.

If interested in donating, checks can be made payable and sent directly to the Jasper Public Library, 1116 Main St., Jasper, IN 47546 with “Storywalk Eagle Scout Project” in the memo line.
