We have great programs lined up at all of our branches, and the prizes are amazing! The grand prize winner will receive a Holiday World Prize Pack that includes 4 tickets, towels, and more, donated by WBDC/WJTS!

Check out the programs and events on our calendar, and stop by one of the libraries to pick up your Summer Reading form to participate! There are reading programs for different levels and prizes for different age groups.

Dubois Library's Reading Programs:

Four separate reading programs are offered:
Grade is based on the grade the reader will be in next year.

  • Birth through 2 years old - have 10 books read to them to receive a sippy cup or hard hat
  • Age 3 through 4th grade - read or be read 10 books for a hard hat or flying ring
  • 5th through 12th grades - 10 hours to receive Dubois Library sunglasses, a flying ring, travel mug, or visor
  • Adults: 3 books, audiobooks, or e-books to receive a Dubois Library sun visor hat or 2 drink coasters

Dubois' drawing prizes:

  • Infant through 4th grade: $50 bill x4
  • 5th through 12th grades: $100 bill x2
  • Adults: $100 bill x2

For Children: When you pick up your Summer Reading Log, you will get bookmarks, "Build a Better World" pencil, a Squire Boone Caverns coupon, and a Dairy Queen coupon! When you complete your requirements, you'll get more restaurant coupons.

Rules

  1. The program begins on Tuesday, May 30 and ends on Friday, July 28 at 5:00 PM.
  2. Books can be in any form or of any type, whatever you like to read!
  3. Prizes will be distributed as you complete the program. Reading logs can be turned in anytime from June 5 through July 28.
  4. We encourage you to keep reading all summer, but each patron is eligible for only one (1) completion prize.
  5. Each patron that finishes the reading program will be eligible for the drawing for the bigger prizes.
  6. Children who finish the reading program will be invited to attend the pool party celebration at the end of the program.
  7. Keep reading for more chances to win prizes! There's no limit on the number of books you can read!

Pool Party

Pool Party July 31 from 7:00-9:00 PM is the party at the Jasper Pool for kids who complete the Program!

When a child finishes the program, their completion prize will include an invitation to the pool party. This is not your entry ticket! Entry tickets can be picked up on the dates listed on the invitation. Each child must have a signed entry ticket before they can enter the Jasper Pool. The concession stand will be open during the party. Due to this being a private party, no pool passes are accepted.
